This isn’t an opinion on Dizzee Rascal and his music, but instead a little look at his latest video for I Don’t Need A Reason.
I got sent this at work, and the video directed by Émile Sornin (who also did the video for Alt-J’s “Fitzpleasure” – another visual masterpiece) thoroughly entertained me during my lunch hour. Maybe it was something to do with Dizzee living it up like Le Roi Soleil and the cool 19th century attire, or instead how it’s been made entirely of GIF-style loops (and Vine ready).

This week saw the launch of our campaign for World MS Day 2013 and everyone at We Love came up with a motto for life. Mine was “Live and Learn”.
In the spirit of learning, I’m going to take you through the process on how I illustrated my motto.
I had some rough ideas already in my head before I started this so I quickly sketched out my thoughts in my notebook.
Over the years we have been accustomed to the notion of documenting and sharing our lives with ourselves and others. For some people creating scrap books, keeping diaries or using Excel spreadsheets have become a permanent process in order to quantify or qualify the day to day happenings in their life. Many will consider creating spreadsheets or scrapbooks as a little excessive, or simply quite a long and boring process, but what we fail to realise is that we are logging our day-to-day journeys without even realising it.
Networks such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter allow us to keep a record of what we are (or were) doing on any given day, yet some of us just don’t think of it that way.Continue reading
